A man from Jefferson County was killed after he was electrocuted on Thursday afternoon when working at home.

According to police, the man was working on the water line under his house when they believe he struck an electrical fixture with his wrench while trying to correct a water leak.

The man was later found by his son. The son also suffered a small electric shock, but did not require any medical attention. Further details have not been released at this time.
