A motorcycle accident early Sunday morning left chef Nathan Toubia, owner of Bocconcini Italian Eatery, seriously injured.
According to officials in the case, the passenger on Toubia’s motorcycle, who is also the manager at the restaurant, was critically injured in the accident as well. The accident took place when a Ford Mustang turned into the path of the motorcycle, not giving Toubia enough time to stop and causing a collision with the car.
Both people were thrown from the motorcycle as a result of the collision. The female passenger is currently on life support after suffering a broken neck, pelvis, and ribs, and sustaining bleeding in the brain. Toubia suffered fractures to his leg, broken ankles, and a crushed pelvis. The restaurant will remain open while Toubia recovers.
Our thoughts and condolences are with the injured victims during their recovery.
