A Kansas City police officer was injured after a car accident occurred while he was driving his patrol car on Paseo.
According to officials, the accident occurred around 4:30 p.m. when the officer was heading to a reported stabbing. The officer lost control of the car, ran off the road and struck a utility pole before finally coming to a rest in front of a tree.
Crews had to extricate the man from the vehicle. It was thought that he suffered a head injury in the accident, but he was responsive when crews arrived.
