A car accident in Leavenworth sent one woman to a Kansas City hospital in order to be treated for injuries.
According to police officials, the accident occurred just after 3 p.m when the woman was traveling near 10th Avenue and Quincey Street. The 87-year-old woman struck a parked car that was on the west side of the street.
The woman was then transported to the University of Kansas Hospital in Kansas City, Kansas, but she is expected to make a full recovery. Police are unsure what caused the accident at this time.
