A professor at Fort Hayes State University was killed in a car accident Sunday morning.

According to police officials, the accident occurred on Highway 56 when a car crossed the center line of roadway and struck their vehicle. The professor was riding with his wife and his mother-in-law at the time.

He and his mother-in-law were both killed in the crash. The wife and the 19-year-old driver of the other vehicle both suffered minor injuries and were taken to a hospital in Dodge City in order to be treated.
