A Kansas man, his wife and four children, were killed after their single-engine plane crashed into a swamp in Florida.
According to KXAN online, the plane broke apart just after 12:30 p.m. and went down in the Tiger Creek Preserve, a 4,900-acre preserve outside of Orlando.
The father was piloting the 2006 Pilatus Pc-12/47 and was returning home to Junction City from the Bahamas when the aircraft went down. The National Transportation Safety Board will be investigating the cause of the crash and an investigator on the board has stated that it may take up to a year to reconstruct the accident and determine the cause.
