A man has recently been sentenced to six years in prison for his involvement in a drunk driving crash that killed his girlfriend.
According to police, the 24-year-old man was convicted of a DUI after the SUV he was driving flipped and rolled over on Cowley County Highway. The 26-year-old passenger in the SUV was ejected from the vehicle during the rollover collision.
She was later pronounced dead by emergency crews. The driver was sentenced to 71 months in prison and three years of supervision after he is released. He was also convicted of involuntary manslaughter and driving without a license.
