A 26-year-old man has now been charged with a crime after a fatal car accident occurred on I-35 Saturday morning.
According to police officials, the accident occurred when a man was pulled over on the side of the road because his van ran out of gas.
The 26-year-old driver then allegedly struck the man as he was on the side of the road and quickly drove away from the scene after. He has been charged with failure to stop at an accident that caused a death.
